Scarce Boer War & WWI medal group - Lancs Fusiliers & Manchester Pals (19th City Bn).
A scarce group to an original Pals sergeant sold with copy research.
Group comprises of a four bar QSA medal (bars - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvall and Laing's Nek), a two bar KSA medal (bars - South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902), a WWI victory medal (unfortunately this has been neatly erased), WWI war medal, a George V long service & good conduct medal and a Belgian Croix de Guerre. Only one Belgian Croix de Guerre was awarded to the battn.

QSA medal (bar - Cape Colony) to the R.M.L.I.
Genuine Queen's South Africa 1899-1902 medal complete with bar Cape Colony. Named to A.Rayner, Pte. R.M.L.I., HMS Niobe. Has small impressed naming. In very good condition, just some very minor edge bruising.
Albert Rayner was born in Bethnal Green, London on the 9th October 1874. A blacksmith by trade he enlisted into the Royal Marines on the 5th December 1893. For his service in the Boer War he received the Queen's Medal with bar Cape Colony. Private Rayner was discharged by purchase on the 12th June 1901 and enrolled into the Royal Fleet Reserves in July 1902.
One hundred and twenty-nine single bar Queen's South Africa Medals were awarded to the company of the HMS Niobe. Around sixty of them to men of the Royal Marine Light Infantry.

Royal Artillery, a China medal (bars Taku Forts 1860 and Pekin 1860) officially impressed to Gunr Saml Alloway, No.6 B 12th Bde R. Art and a Turish Crimea medal which just has his initials impressed on the edge. The group comes with copy paperwork confirming the bars. A nice group.
