Africa General service medal (bar - Kenya) - Royal Armoured Corps.

Medal is named to 19037284 Sgt. B.Carter. R.A.C. The only armour serving in this conflict was the East African Independent Armoured car company. Sgt. B Carter was almost certainly attatched to this unit. A rare unique or nearly unique medal to this unit. In very good condition complete with ribbon.

Very Scarce Canal Zone General Service Medal - Intelligence Corps.

Genuine GSM with bars Canal Zone and Cyprus. Named to 22958051 Sgt. L.A.Hough Int.Corps. The Canal Zone bar is loose on the ribbon. Sold with paperwork that shows Hough was in Egypt and subsequently served at GCHQ.

Rare Intelligence Africa GSM (bar Kenya) medal.

Genuine medal in good condition complete with ribbon. The medal is named to F.I.O. (Field Intelligence Officer) R.B. Cheetham. The Mau Mau rebellion in 1956 caught the Intelligence Corps unprepared with few personnel on the ground in Africa. There was an urgent need for Field Intelligence officers who spoke the local language and had local knowledge. A number of retired special branch officers and other suitable candidates were drafted in to assist the Int Corps. Cheetham was one of a small band of men.
