Interestingly the only people listed as receiving medals for this action are from the Canadian Inf, Royal Tank Corps, a few from the Machine Gun Corps and the Royal Artillery (? tank Gunner). Rare Commander Michael & George WW1 medal group - Intelligence Corps.
This group consists of a Commander Michael & George neck bade in original box of issue, a 1914-15 trio, croix de guerre with star (confirmed), 1935 Jubilee medal, 1937 coronation medal and a 1953 coronation medal. The 1914-15 star is named DM2-097356 Pte. C.O.Harrey, A.S.C. and the WW1 pair are named 2 Lieut C.O. Harrey. He was commissioned into the Intelligence corps from the Army Service Corps. Group comes with copy MIC and London Gazette for the croix de guerre. There is also a French certificate confirming the award with citation in French. In 1920 he entered the consular service serving in Budapest from 1939-41, Port Said from 1944-45 and Yugoslavia in 1945. Also included is 2 of his diplomatic documents to do with him being appointed as Consul-General at Strasbourg, a bestowal document for the C.M.G and a letter announcing his appointment as C.M.G. 01/01/1953.

A remarkable group. The 1914-15 star is named SS-4620A Pte. M.G. Jemmett, A.S.C. and the pair are named 2.Lieut M.G. Jemmett. He was commisioned into the 1st County of London Yeomanry from the A.S.C on the 25/9/17. His M.I.D. is given in the London Gazzette 4/1/17. The medals are in good condition and are display mounted.

Superb Intelligence casualty medal group
- No.1 Wireless Observation group R.E.
This group consists of a 1914-15 medal trio and a death plaque to 78478 Spr. E.Lawrenson, R.E. This rare unit listened in and intercepted the telephone communications of the enemy. The techniques used are listed in a Canadian book entitled "Listening In". A truly scarce and remarkable group. Lawrenson died just 3 days before the end of the war in Europe.
