WOII Hutchinson served with the regiment almost to the end of the war. He was killed in action following the Rhine crossing. He was awarded the MM for Alemein and it has an increible citation. In another war he would have probably been awarded the VC.
Horrocks said the Rangers saw more action than any other Tank regiment. They first went to Palestine with horses and then were converted to tanks. They then fought throughout the Africa campaign returning to the U.K. for D-day (where they were the first unit ashore). After D-day they fought throughout France, to Holland, to the Rhine. Once they had crossed it, with the end in sight Hutchinson was sadly killed in action (28/03/1945). The group comes with citation and research (see pics).
