An 1895 India General Service medal and first world war group of four awarded to 98277 Gunner William Edward Long, Royal Artillery.

In July 1916 during the Somme offensive, Gunner Long injured his back after being thrown from his water cart (presumably by horses bolting under shell fire). He returned home 24/7/16 where he was treated in hospital and found unfit to return to France. He served the rest of the war at home and was demobilized 18/3/19.
The medals have a number of minor edge knocks, edge bruising and wear to the high points. Please see photos.
