A first world war mons star medal trio awarded to 10152 Private William Peter Bennett, East Yorkshire Regiment who ended his service as a POW guard on the Island of Malta.

British War Medal named to 10152 Pte. W.P. Bennett. E. York. R.
WW1 Victory Medal named to 10152 Pte. W.P. Bennett. E. York. R.
Please note that there is a mistake to his initial on the star which matches up with the MIC.
William Bennett was from Romford, Essex. He enlisted into the East Yorkshire Regt in January 1914 and landed in France on the 7th October 1914. He later transferred to the West Yorkshire Regt where he served as a POW camp guard from the 14th February 1918. He was discharged as no longer fit for service on the 4th December 1919 due to Malaria.
The medals are in good condition.
