Walter Sissons was from Balby, Doncaster. He served in Palestine with 45 Commando and later served with 40 Commando. In September 1951 he joined the West Riding Constabulary and served with them for 2 years before going to Canada where he joined the North York Police Department in June 1954. In April 1956 he returned to England.
Comes with a quantity of original documentation including certificate of service, box issue with envelope, forwarding letter, documents regarding service with the West Riding Constabulary and North York (Canada) Police Dept, lots of photographs and newspaper cutting.
The medal is in good condition with ribbon.
