Swainton enlisted into the West Yorkshire Regt in 1900. He served with the 1st Volunteer Company, 2nd Battn. He was discharged in 1901 after one year voluntary service overseas.
He re-enlised into the West Riding Regt on 7/9/14 and first entered France 4/10/1915. He was discharged on 26/6/18.
The medals are in good condition with ribbons.
Comes with copy Boer war service papers, medal roll entries and MIC.
