Private Inman was captured on the 27/02/1917 at Gommecourt and was a prisoner of war.
This group also includes a hallmarked silver and enamel Hundred of Salford Humane Society Swimming Profiency Medal engraved to S. Inman 1910 along with 9 other hallmarked silver sporting medals awarded to Sidney Inman. He was clearly very athletic with medals for a wide range of sports / activities including high jump, long jump, sprinting, long distance running, swimming and shooting.
The medals are in good condition and have been mounted on card for display.
Comes with original Regimental magazine dated December 1929, in which he is listed as a Band Sergeant. Also copy MIC, medal roll entries and POW details.
