The group comes with a superb contemporary set of matching miniature medals and a full file of original documents, including photos of recipient, original MID certificate, plus numerous other original docs, commissioning parchment and official promotion to major, certificate for Jubilee medal 1935, letters, etc.. The medals are in good condition and are swing mounted for wear.

Colonel Charles Henry Neil Baker, M.C. (1887-1956); L.R.C.P.S. Ed. and L.F.P.S.G. St. Bart´´s, 1913; commissioned Lieutenant Indian Medical Service, 31.1.1914; served during the Great War on the Western Front, 16.10.1914-4.2.1915; attached as Medical Officer 59th Scinde Rifles (7th Division), from 15.6.1915; served with the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force, 5.1.1916-26.4.1918 (M.I.D. London Gazette 15.8.1917), and with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force, 13.5.1918-31.10.1918; served at the Indian Surgical Hospital, Agra, 1922-23 and at the Indian Surgical Hospital, Lucknow, 1923-24; served as Commanding Officer Indian Surgical Hospital and Medical Services Depot, Rangoon, 1924-27; advanced Colonel 1936; retired 1944; he died at his residence, "Fugelmere", Culver Way, Sandown, Isle of Wight.
