A first world war 1st Battle of Ypres casualty medal group awarded to 793 Private Richard Day, 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.

British War Medal named to 793 Pte. R. Day. Glouc. R.
WW1 Victory Medal named to 793 Pte. R. Day. Glouc. R.

Died – 29th October 1914 (Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial)

Richard Day was born and enlisted in Tewkesbury. He first entered France 11/9/14 and on 29/10/14 was missing in action, presumed dead. His body was never found.

The medals are in good condition.
