A first world war, AGSM and long service medal group of five awarded to 345889 Blacksmith 1st Class James William Brown, Royal Navy. 

1914-15 Star named to 345889, J.W. Brown, Blks., R.N. 
British War Medal named to 345889 J.W. Brown. Blk.1. R.N. 
WW1 Victory Medal named to 345889 J.W. Brown. Blk.1. R.N. 
Africa General Service Medal (Clasp – Somaliland 1920) named to 345889. J.W. Brown, Blk. 1Cl. H.M.S. Ark Royal. 
Royal Navy Long Service & Good Conduct Medal named to 345889. J.W. Brown, Blksmth. H.M.S. Yarmouth.

The medals have some wear but are overall in good condition. They are swing mounted for wear. 

Brown was born in January 1884 and was from Portsmouth, Hampshire. 

He served on HMS Yarmouth at the Battle of Jutland.
