In 2015, to celebrate the launch of the Fifth circulating Coinage Portrait, the Royal Mint released a very special limited issue Final Editions and First Editions Brilliant Uncirculated 16 coin collection.
This set brings together two special editions of the United Kingdom’s circulating coins for 2015, from the 1p to the £2. The last editions are adorned by the familiar fourth definitive portrait of Her Majesty The Queen by lan Rank-Broadley FRBS on the obverse, while the first editions bear the fifth new definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty, created by Jody Clark.
The Final Edition Collection includes the Shoulders of Giants £2 Two Pound Coin, and the First Editions Collection includes the new Definitive £2 Two Pound Coin, and the remaining coins in both collections include Matthew Dent’s Royal Shield of Arms £1 One Pound Coin and 50p Fifty Pence, down to the 1p One Pence Coin.
All struck to the Royal Mint’s Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
