Description

A modern long service medal group of four awarded to 24763545 Sergeant Michael Clarke, Royal Anglian Regiment, who was a Team Commander on Covert Operations in Northern Ireland. 

Campaign Service Medal (2 Clasps – Northern Ireland, Kuwait) named to 24763545 Pte M Clarke R Anglian 
Operational Service Medal, Afghanistan named to 24763545 Sgt M Clarke R Anglian 
2002 Golden Jubilee Medal unnamed as issued 
Army Long service & Good Conduct Medal named to 24763545 Cpl M Clarke R Anglian 

The medals are in good condition. 

Michael Clarke was born on 6 October 1968 and enlisted at Kettering on 12th January 1986. He served with the 2nd Battalion as a Team Commander and deployed on Covert Operations (COP) with the Close Observation Platoon from 30th March – 1st October 2004. He clearly enjoyed the role as he expressed interest to the Officer Commanding COP to become its Company Quarter-Master Sergeant if the role became available. This was not his first tour during Operation Banner and he also deployed to Kuwait in 1991 – earning a second Clasp to his GSM, a fact confirmed in his Verification Report.

The group comes with Verification Report, Staff Tour Reports and a few copied photographs which identify the recipient. There is also a copy Kuwait clasp which is loose. Both the Northern Ireland and Kuwait clasps that are on the medal are genuine.
