A pre war Palestine MID medal group of six awarded to Lieutenant (Q.M.) John Lawrence Callan, Royals Signals and Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers. 

General Service Medal (Clasp – Palestine) (with MID oak leaf) named to 2321852 Cpl. J.L. Callan. R. Signals. 
1939-45 Star unnamed as issued 
Africa Star unnamed as issued 
WW2 Defence Medal unnamed as issued

George VI Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal named to Lt (Q.M.). J.L. Callan. R.E.M.E. 

The medals are in good condition and are swing mounted for wear. MID emblem is just stuck on with blutack.

John Lawrence Callan was born on 31st January 1912 in Lanchester, Durham. 

He enlisted in January 1932 as a Corporal in the Royal Signals. He was commissioned, 2nd Lieut 1945 RPC, Lt QM 1949 and Capt QM REME 1951.
