A post war CIE, OBE (Military) and first world war MC group of nine awarded to Colonel George Frederick Joseph Paterson, Indian Army. 

The Most Eminent Order of the Indian Empire, C.I.E., Companion’s 3rd Type Neck Badge, gold and enamel 
Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) (Military) hallmarks for London 1918 
Military Cross unnamed as issued 
1914 Mons Star (Clasp – 5th Aug. – 22nd Nov. 1914) named to Capt. G.F.J. Paterson, 1/34/Sikh Pionrs. 
British War Medal named to Capt. G.F. Paterson. 
WW1 Victory Medal (with MID oak leaf emblem) named to Capt. G.F. Paterson. 
Delhi Durbar 1911 Medal unnamed as issued 
1935 George V Silver Jubilee Medal unnamed as issued 
1937 George VI Coronation Medal unnamed as issued 

The medals are in good condition. 

George Frederick Joseph Paterson was born on 26th March 1885, son of Colonel H. Paterson, 23rd Punjab Pioneers. He was educated at The Oratory School, Birmingham and at the R.M.C. Sandhurst. He received his first commission in 1904 and joined the 34th Sikh Pioneers , Indian Army in 1905. Served in the Great War in France, 1914-15 and in Mesopotamia, 1916-19. For his services he was twice mentioned in despatches and awarded the Military Cross (L.G. 14/1/16). Transferred to the Cantonments Department in 1919. Awarded the O.B.E. in 1926. Appointed Director of Military Lands and Cantonments, Defence Department, Government of India, 1935. Awarded the C.I.E. in 1937 and retired from the Indian Army in 1942.
