1998 proof coin collection, with certificate of authenticity. In excellent condition.
This coin collection contains Proof versions of the circulating range of United Kingdom coins for 1998. Included in this magnificent set is the £5 struck to commemorate the 50th birthday of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales featuring a design celebrating the work of The Prince’s Trust. The coin collection also houses two versions of the new smaller fifty-pence, once featuring the traditional design of Britannia while the other commemorates the United Kingdom’s 25th year as a member of the European Union. A new portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadly is featured on the obverse of each coin.
A maximum of 100,000 Proof collections were authorised for worldwide distribution.
