A first world war medal trio and death plaque to DCM recipient, L/11755 Gunner / A. Bombadier Robert Henry Oxtoby, ‘B’ Bty. 162 Bde., Royal Field Artillery. 

1914-15 Star named to L-11755 A. Bmbr: R.H. Oxotby. R.F.A. 
British War Medal named to L-11755 A-Bmbr. R.H. Oxtoby. R.A. 
WW1 Victory Medal named to L-11755 A-Bmbr. R.H. Oxtoby. R.A. 
Memorial Plaque (Death Penny) named to Robert Henry Oxtoby 

Killed In Action – 16th May 1917 (Feuchy British Cemetery)

Oxtoby was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (LG. 13/02/1917).

Citation:
 For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He showed great courage and determination, as a cyclist orderly, in keeping touch between the battery position and the wagon lines. 

Please note that the star has a minor spelling mistake to his name. It is impressed OXOTBY instead of OXTOBY. 

The medals are in good condition. 

Comes with one original medal box, copy MIC, medal roll entries, London Gazette entry and casualty details.
