Description

A first world war medal trio awarded to 14596 Private John Thomas French, Royal Fusiliers. 

1914-15 Star named to 14396 Pte. J.T. French, R. Fus. 
British War Medal named to L-14596 Pte. J.T. French. R. Fus. 
WW1 Victory Medal named to L-14596 Pte. J.T. French. R. Fus. 

The medals are in good condition with original ribbons. 

Please note that he has a different service number on his star. His MIC shows both numbers and confirms 14596 to be his correct number. 

John Thomas French served in France with the 3rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers from 18th January 1915. Discharged on 4th March 1916 as no longer fit for service due to illness as he had lost toes on both feet, he was issued with a Silver War Badge.
