A first world war POW medal group awarded to 5281 Corporal Robert James Grass, King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. 

British War Medal named to 5281 Cpl. R.J. Grass. K.O.Y.L.I. 
WW1 Victory Medal named to 5281 Cpl. R.J. Grass. K.O.Y.L.I. 

Robert James Grass was born in Wroxall, Somerset. He lived in Doncaster, Yorkshire, where he died in 1983 at the age of 90. 

He first entered France on 17/1/17 and was taken prisoner of war on 27/3/18. He was released in January 1919. 

The medals are in good condition.
