Description

A second world war Japanese P.O.W. medal group to 868021 Gunner Frank Nelson, 9 Coast Regiment, Royal Artillery, who died whilst prisoner of war. 

1939-45 Star unnamed as issued 
Pacific Star unnamed as issued 
WW2 Defence Medal unnamed as issued 
War Medal 1939-45 unnamed as issued 

Died – 5th March 1942 (Singapore Memorial) 

Gunner Nelson was captured and taken prisoner of war by the Japanese on 15/02/1942. He died a few weeks later on the 05/03/1942. 

The medals are in good condition with ribbons and come with original box of issue and condolence slip.
