A first world war casualty medal group awarded to 40179 Private John Cairns, 1st Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers, who was killed in action 13/11/1916 and is remembered at Serre Road Cemetery No.1.

The medals are in good condition.

John Cairns was from St. Boswells, Roxburghshire.
