WW1 Victory Medal named to 11972 Pte. W. Gorner. Bord. R.
The medals are in good condition and come with good lengths of original silk ribbons.
Private Gorner was wounded in action on 20/10/1916 when he was "blown up by High Explosive Shell" sustaining a gun shot wound to his nose and shell shock. He was wounded again on 3/9/17 (Gun Shot Wound to hand and Bursitis) and 4/11/18 (Shrapnel Wound to left thigh).
Gorner was born in Wigan, Lancashire.
