The group comes with a brief history of Lieutenant Commander Ritter.
Ritter was promoted to Lieutenant on 1/1/1913. During the war he served on Endeavour, H.M. T.B. 29, H.M.S. Ambuscade, H.M.S. Lookout and H.M.S. Lavercock.
On the 1/1/1921 he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander. In 1923, Ritter was sent home after being relieved in Command of Wishart following three months of excessive wine bills.
During the second world war he was Leicester Civil Defence chief of staff and was charged with misusing petrol. Comes with copies of newspaper articles reporting this.
The medals are in good condition and are swing mounted for wear. Comes with a silver Identity bracelet.
