A second world war Japanese POW medal group awarded to 4975812 Private Sidney Donald Baker, 1st/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regt), who was captured at the Fall of Singapore, 15/02/1942.

The medals are in good condition.
Sidney Donald Baker was from Leicester.
He was captured by the Japanese at the Fall of Singapore, 15th February 1942, and taken prisoner of war. Liberated 2nd September 1945.
The group comes with a number of original documents including his Soldier's Service and Pay Book and letters he write to his family as a prisoner of war.
