M.M. - 3rd January 1920 (North Russia, Murmansk command)
Citation for Military Medal:
"He rendered valuable services at the commencement of the attack on 14th Sept at the taking of the enemy entrenched position 8 miles north of LIJMA, and also throughout the day with the Forward Observing Officer. On the 15th Sept. he showed great gallantry in laying telephone wires, about 5 miles south of LIJMA, with the Forward Observing Officer, being under heavy machine gun and rifle fire during the whole of the attack. He was often in very exposed positions. On 16th Sept. he again showed great gallantry at the taking of MYANSELGA, laying telephone wire forward under heavy machine gun and rifle fire with the Forward Observing Officer's party. During the three days his conduct was very courageous."
Comes with original citation for the MM along with other copy research and a copied photograph of Edwards in uniform.
The medals are in good condition with ribbons.
