A first world war medal trio and memorial plaque awarded to Major Frederick Gordon Owens, 9th Bn. The King's (Liverpool) Regiment, who was twice mentioned in despatches and died of influenza in October 1918.
1914-15 Star named to Capt. F.G. Owens. L'pool R
British War Medal named to Major F.G. Owens.
WW1 Victory Medal (with MID oak leaf emblem) named to Major F.G. Owens.
Memorial Plaque named to Frederick Gordon Owens

M.I.D. - 16th January 1918 (Egypt)
Major Frederick Owens served throughout the battles and skirmishes of 1918. He was lightly wounded 19/9/18 and sent to hospital to recover where he contracted Influenzal Bronchial Pneumonia and subsequently died 4/10/18 at 44 Stationary Hospital in Kantara, aged 32.
The medals are in good condition and are nicely framed.
