The medals are in good condition.
His regimental number and WW2 medal card confirm he was with 42 Searchlight Regiment "Robin Hood Rifles" Sherwood Foresters. Though the 7th Sherwood Foresters were converted into a searchlight regiment in 1938 they were allowed to keep their title and cap badges for the duration of the war.
