The medals comes with original WW2 box of issue addressed to Major J.M.J. Porter.
A newspaper article reporting Major Porter's death in 1956 states that he was one of the last to be evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk and was mentioned in despatches. We have found nothing to confirm that he was mentioned in despatches no and this newspaper article is the only thing we can find that mentions it. Worth more research.
